Shipyard Steel Structure Building

The steel structure shipyard project is divided into the stages of foundation construction, steel component processing and production, component installation, roof and wall system installation, etc., and the key nodes and construction period targets of each stage are clarified. For example, in the foundation construction stage, geological conditions, concrete curing time and other factors should be fully considered to reasonably arrange the construction progress; in the steel component processing and production stage, a detailed processing plan should be formulated according to the complexity and quantity of the components to ensure that the components are supplied on time. Cross-operation management: During the construction process, cross-operation may occur between various types of work, such as steel structure installation and equipment installation, electrical installation, etc. A reasonable cross-operation plan should be formulated to clarify the construction sequence and operation time of each type of work to avoid mutual interference and ensure construction safety and progress.

Manufacturing process control

Cutting:
Thick plates (t≥40mm) are flame cut + milling edge (groove roughness Ra≤25μm)
Welding anti-deformation:
Symmetrical welding + segmented back welding method (300mm segment)
Main beam pre-arch anti-deformation: L/800~L/1000 (L=span)
Anti-corrosion treatment:
Sandblasting grade Sa2.5 (roughness 40~70μm)
Water-based zinc-rich anti-rust slurry is poured inside the box-shaped component (dry film thickness ≥80μm)

Special technical measures for shipyards

Anti-fatigue design
Transverse welding is prohibited in the tension zone of crane beams (to avoid fatigue crack sources)
The node plate adopts arc transition (R ≥ 60mm, stress concentration factor Kt ≤ 1.5)
Dynamic load adaptation
Configure tuned mass damper (TMD) (to control crane brake vibration)
Prestressed cables are used for column supports (prestressing force ≥ 20% of the design load)
Maintenance channel design
Inspection trolley track is set inside the box beam (gauge ≥ 500mm)
Ladder inclination ≤ 45° (tread plate perforation rate ≥ 30% to prevent dust accumulation)

Recommended construction process

Deepen design → Material pretreatment → Modular prefabrication → Floating crane segment installation → High-precision leveling → Dynamic load test
(Using this process can shorten the construction period by 25% and reduce on-site welds by 40%)

Key Tips

Re-check the torque of the crane rail pressure plate bolts every quarter (re-tighten if the attenuation rate is greater than 10%).
After the steel structure has been in service for 5 years, the underwater area pile foundation needs to be inspected by underwater video (cathodic protection is activated when the corrosion rate is greater than 0.2mm/year).
