Project Overview
Long-span coal sheds are core environmental protection facilities in thermal power plants, coking plants, coal logistics hubs and other places. They are mainly used for the fully enclosed transformation of open-air coal yards to solve the problems of dust pollution and material loss in coal storage. Most of the projects are located in coal producing areas such as Shanxi, Inner Mongolia, and Shaanxi, adjacent to railway loading lines or port terminals, to achieve "storage-transportation" integrated operations.

The structural design adopts a large-span space frame grid or arched steel structure, with a single span of 80-150 meters, a length of 200-500 meters, and a clearance height of 20-30 meters, which meets the operation requirements of large stackers and reclaimers. The main body is assembled from corrosion-resistant high-strength steel components, and the roof is covered with anti-static PVDF membrane or aluminum-zinc-plated steel plates, which have windproof, explosion-proof and self-cleaning functions. The foundation adopts pile foundation + pedestal to bear the side pressure of the coal pile and the dynamic load of the equipment.

The functional system integrates three core modules:

  1. Environmental protection and dust suppression: equipped with intelligent spray dust suppression system and ventilation device, PM10 emissions are reduced by more than 90%;
  2. Intelligent operation: bucket wheel stacker and reclaimer and belt conveyor corridor are installed inside to support automatic storage and quantitative material collection of coal;
  3. Safety monitoring: gas concentration sensor, temperature detection and structural health monitoring system are set to prevent spontaneous combustion of coal piles and structural risks.
    The technical breakthrough lies in the ultra-large span column-free space (increasing storage rate by 30%), BIM technology guidance of precise construction (error ≤5mm), and photovoltaic roof power generation (installed capacity of some projects is 1-2MW), achieving the dual goals of environmental protection and energy saving.
